MP News: Father and Son Injured in Pressure Bomb Explosion Set for Wild Boar Hunting
In a tragic incident in Giridih’s Gawan area, a father and his two-year-old son were seriously injured in an explosion caused by a pressure bomb meant for hunting wild boars. The incident occurred one kilometer from the Gadar Power Grid, where Majid Rathore (52) and his son Ajid were victims of the blast.
Majid, a resident of Katni, Madhya Pradesh, had been staying in the area with his family for the past few days, selling herbal remedies and oils. The pressure bombs, set in the forest at night to hunt wild boars, were retrieved and kept inside their hut in the morning, leading to the unfortunate explosion. The blast was heard up to five kilometers away.
Local residents rushed to the scene and immediately took the injured to the Gawan Community Health Center. After receiving first aid, they were referred to a higher medical facility for better treatment.
Following the incident, the family quickly fled the area. The Gawan forests are known for their large population of wild boars, and hunters often use pressure bombs to capture them. These bombs contain explosives and chemicals that attract the animals. When the boar bites down on the bomb, it explodes, allowing hunters to catch and sell the meat.
Upon receiving the news, police officer Mahesh Chandra arrived at the scene, confirming that all suspects fled after the incident. He assured that such individuals would be closely monitored.
